pick a nice little island in the carribean and live like a king for peanuts... avoid USA at all costs unless you like taxes and crime

I really only need peace. I need country where I hear some good news. In Bosnia, when you open some news portal, you can only read about problems, one part of country wants to get independence, another part won't let them. For me all that talk is really nonsense.

You suggested Spain. I think that they have almost same problem like in Bosnia, with one part of country wants to be independent (Catalonia), but another part won't let them.

Nearly every country has at least 1 region that wants to break away.

A few ghetto areas shoot the crime stats high for the entire nation, there are many communities that never see a homicide for decades at a time. Tax rates aren't so bad there are loads of deductions and investments that drops taxes down alot.

Go to the UK as others have said, that $2k would pay the rent for a 3 bedroom house up north and leave you with about 1000 left every month plus you can claim anything lol

Australia is really expensive, 75k euro will get you a tiny house in a shithole area... maybe. 300k+ AUD is more realistic. A mate just sold his 2 bedroom apartment near the CBD for 400k.

Malaysia is welcoming to foreigners and has good clear laws on the topic.
Thailand and Vietnam are also nice to live.
I'm currently in Bangkok, and love living here.

Depends what you want to do in your life. If actually you only want to make the big moneys.. You've to choose If commenting everyday in a forum and making low pennies with stupid methods to make money or follow enterpreneurship and make with a great idea a start up which after it got tracion you go after angels and then VCs to grow it to the stars... Then UK and US would be good. But in first place you can't transfer with what you're earning and how you're earning. You'd find yourself in the shi* otherwise.
Btw: if you're yet at the point of watching TV just forget what I said.. you're too stupd.

Spain, if you work online, you can get long term visa without work permit, after several years you can apply for citizenship, you only need to prove your online income, it is such nice play to live

Uruguay is the only country that I know which gives citizenship to everyone who applies. You only need to have clean police record and a steady income to be able to support yourself or your family.

do the digital nomad thing, I went here last month:
http://kohub.org/packages/

Chiang mai is even cheaper, could live a decent life on $1-1500 in south east asia

Cheap country with uprising economy, that whats you need.

It leaves you with 2 choices only: South America or Asia. The rest of the world is either stalling or going down.

how about germany? germany is a social state and once you get in you have many benefits.
even thought citizenship should be a bit difficult to obtain...

Move to Estonia. Cheap to live, amazing women, fast internet... what else does a IM guru need ? :D

I live in Capljina / Bosnia, and with 3-4k? you can be a God here.

Doctors are paid 1-2k? and living costs are cheap.

Girls are great, cars are cheap, everything is perfect.

My advice, buy small yacht and move to Croatia.

Babo nema ljep?e od Balkana!

I relocated from Canada to the Caribbean 8 years ago and it is the best decision I ever made.

I have traveled much of the world and I will comment on some of the recommendations:

Australia: Clearly one of the best countries in the world but it is very difficult to move here. As others stated the cost of living is higher, much higher than the USA.

Costa Rica: For some reason everyone seems to think this is paradise and has a low cost of living. Yes if you want to live like a local and eat only locally made produce, and live like the locals it is cheap. If you want to live nicely this is a more expensive option than Australia or America. Most expats live in Escazu where the cost of living is high. Restaurants can be twice as expensive than America. ($20 for breakfast at Dennys!). The crime here is seriously bad everyone lives behind barred windows for a reason. People will rob you blind the first opportunity they get. I have a business in Costa Rica so I know what I am talking about as I have spent up to 4 months a year there.

Caribbean: Yes you could live nicely here for $2000 a month.... depending on the island. Most of the nicer islands require you purchase a home of a certain value in order to gain permanent residency ($500 000 USD seems to be the default with no mortgage). Otherwise you will need to form a corporation to issue you an annual work visa. When I first moved here the cost to do this was around $15000 a year which would eat up your $2000 a month.

America: As much as I hate to say it there is a lot of opportunity there but again it is not that easy to move there. I personally prefer the West Coast states or Hawaii but you would need to visit to make a decision. Weather and people vary a lot state by state.

My belief is you should stay where you are until you can raise your income to approximately $5000 a month and then you can really shop around. Otherwise you should consider moving to Thailand (Phuket is paradise!) or somewhere like the Philippines. Both those places are easy to get around in if you speak English. The Caribbean has quite a high cost of living. You could do somewhere like Dominican Republic or Jamaica but then what's the point as the standard of living there is not that great. Both have major crime issues.

I vote for southern Spain ... but I think it takes like 10 years to get your citizenship...

What happened OP? still in Bosnia, exploiting the shit out of Adsense? :D
