Anywhere you live, you should put in at least some effort to learn their language and culture. It's depressing to see expats who have lived here for years but cannot even say hello or thank you. Get some manners, people.

I don't get how expats can live in a country for years do that, especially since some of the more common destinations I was checking out for expats the language lessons are pretty cheap for learning language. In Thailand it costs like $125 for 32 lessons a month to learn thai.

But in America the radio only has a few station that plays songs in different language and most of the time its just Spanish(idk about NYC). There are barely any movies in cinemas that are in a language other than English, in the last 20 years I've only gone to 1 movie in another language. There is barely any decent tv shows in another language that are worth watching. People in America that learn a different language aren't going to be exposed to it as often as people in a smaller nation that have learned English.

I'm pretty that at least 50%+ of the time(in a urban setting in some of the EE nations in the EU) refuse to speak English its because they either don't want to or they are just not confident in their ability.

Do you by any chance know a website/portal where you can find/look at apartments in Capljina or that area?
I would love to see, what you can get for your money.

So far Airbnb gave a "decent" insight.

i travel mostly of the year and know some places ...
if i have to move i would prefer the eastern part of europe too.

asia is mostly environmental damaged, overcrowded and is getting expensive and if you are a gringo. sure you can rent a cheap hut ... but do you like to live like that? if you rent some with western standard you pay at least western prices there as well, especially if you are in cites where other foreign people life.

big advantage in east europe ... and that is the question of what kind of taste you have in woman, they are extremely beautiful in average. they have education and you live in the civilized world for a little price. the landscape is nice and you can do a lot of outdoor activities. they speak probably more english then the most other places recommended here, but anyhow when you move somewhere you should try to learn the local language anyhow. Takes you not more than 3-4 month if you really try to learn with a cute language teacher.

second best place is in my opinion colombia. venezuela used to be excellent as well, but its too dangerous right now. living there is cheap (if you don't live in the rich aerea - thats incredible expensive) but you can have a great social life when speaking spanish and you are not a dumbhead.

before moving somewhere travel a little and see which mentality you like and which place you love.

There is lot of apartments and houses for rent, you can fint one in 30 minutes if you come here.

I have lived in Bulgaria. In the awesome Ski town called bansko, keeps getting voted one of the best resorts in the world, and it hosts skiing world cups and all that shizz, and yes you can buy apartments there for around about 10k

bulgaria is an awesome place to live, and if you are earning online, you will live like a king; when i worked in a ski chalet there i was getting something like 10€ per day, now i am earning online i am getting 19 times that wage, thats the joy of internet marketing..

PS. I have lived in Ireland, Wales, Greece, Bulgaria, France & Portugal - feel free to ask questions about these places if you are considering moving to them

So technically you could go there, Airbnb/hotel (safety) meanwhile looking at different apartments and houses.. and within a week or two your got your own place.

Yes, there is also Medjugorje 10km from Capljina, with 50+ motels and hotels.

Its close, but you can find nice apartment in center fast.

For 10k, I'd buy a plot of land near Manila and build the home of my dreams.. Even W130SN should be happy with the average rate for ladies near that area lol.
