Where to list a new site

Say you've got a new site with a lot of great content.

Where do you list it now?

I remember Yahoo! directory used to be good, as well as Dmoz. I read about GoGuides recently.

What are some places to list a site now so it gets picked up by Google and ideally gets some cred for being listed there?

Assume that the site is amazing with some amazing content and you just want to pay to get it listed without searching out people for backlinks.

I don't think those paid directories add any cred to website.

You can build social media profiles.

People yet use directories in 2020?

Try yellow pages also. And these kind of listings.
