Thanks guys, I realize learning from videos is much better than reading on a website. I will use youtube and udemy for this from now onwards. I'm learning html and css at the moment!
 
Youtube, Google. Follow along as they go and play around with a few projects of your own. Unless you want to be a professional (paid) designer, you really don't need to pay for any courses.
 
Lynda.com is great - I get a free account with work. There are some good Youtube channels that are worth using too.

The best way to learn IMHO is just to create a project or two on your own. It forces you to find solutions to problems and Google the answer.
 
Learning by doing, i think the best way is to try things and take the help of google ;-)
 
I've learned by watching YouTube and lots of experimenting.
 
Perhaps try some offline course/teacher first, then advancing using online material
 
It's mostly about try and error.

The internet is full of useful resources but the important thing I did notice over the years is you need to experiment and try to understand instead of just following a tutorial.
 
Why don't you do a search for "Learn Photoshop Free"?
 
I second Udemy courses, Youtube videos as a start too.
 
This is how I learn things:
1) find a crash course with youtube so that you get the basic knowledge. It should not be more than 30 minutes.
2) download the program and start using photoshop with that knowledge.
3) find a solution to problems on sites like Stack exchange et cetera.
4) now, you are a basic level photoshop user in a month or so.

Best is to always check out youtube..and from there look if the people might offer a course..and take that up.
