Thanks! I'm taking lessons in November, but i bought the guitar, a few picks and a tuner already. I just want a headstart since i've about a few days to spare.If you are a total beginner, I suggest that you take lessons from
a guitar teacher in your area for at least a year. You can check
your local music stores and inquire. Most music stores have
one or more guitar teachers on board.
After you have a year's worth of lessons under your belt, then
you can start looking around on Youtube and pick up some
more advanced tips. Also, see if you can find some friends
to play with. You would be surprised how fast you will learn
when you are playing with other musicians. Very inspiring.
