I was wondering how you all learned how to do what you did?

I have read these threads for awhile, but was wondering how all of you learned your skills?

Are there books out there that you guys looked at, or did you somehow figure it out yourself?

I am old school. I was trained by the USAF in computer programming, followed that with a 6 month tech school, and a few years of practical experience. But its easy to learn to code today, I didnt have Google at my beck and call! Course didnt have the internet as well! LOL Now I just try try try again on new things until I get them right.

Don't bother with books, you'll find tutorials online easily, and once you have a basic comprehension, you'll know what you are needing to achieve and can look up how to do it from there.

I learned html by myself by viewing the source code of sites and replicating them because there were no guides on the internet back then.

PHP/MySQL I learned with online tutorials.

I'm no genius, almost anyone can do this.

This will teach you the basic coding languages..http://udemyblog.blogspot.it/2013/09/back-to-school-web-development-and.html

I myself find it valuable to learn how to code and I think anyone in this business would really enjoy the benefit of being able to.
Problem for so many of us is we are in our own niche or game in this field and if your like me you never get the time or allocate the
time towards learning this valuable skill. Then every so often you regret never picking it up.
