hi there BWH,

Earlier this year i tried to make a website for my ppd campaign, but it was ****, so i started a new one this summer. The first one i made was on godaddy website creator, but now i make a wordpress website without paying at the moment. I use XAMPP server on my own pc to edit the website. I already ran into some problems. I cant upload my site to hostgator, as it seems that my domain is banned there, probably because it says "hacking" in it. So someone suggested in this forum that i should put up my website on a VPS, i never knew that it was actualy possible :D . So i need some answers before i put up anything on the internet. When i started up the server on XAMPP and then started the wordpress, it didn't asked MySQL password, which seems insecure? If i upload the webiste i'm currently creating on my pc to a hosting or a VPS, can i create that password ? Is VPS more expensive to host on than hosting ? Is there any chance that i get shut down by the hosting/vps owners ? (thats my biggest consern, as it happened for me once on weebly, which was horrible experience :D )

I hope this is the right section, i probably forgot to ask something, so i will post later.

XAMPP installs with no mySQL password by default. When you transfer your website to your hosting or VPS you'll have a whole new database name, username, password and host.

A VPS is not really necessary unless you're expecting to have high traffic and resource use. You could invest in a VPS if you plan on hosting more sites in the feature. If you only need hosting for one site with low traffic then go with shared hosting.

A VPS is going to be more expensive than shared hosting most of the time. It depends on the hardware of the VPS.

The chance of your hosting account or VPS being banned depends on the providers TOS. It's going to vary by provider.

Is there any hostings that does not ban domain names ? can someone reccomend me some? Hostgator does not even let me register, probably because they don't like my domain. Meybe someone here has a PPD hack niche website hosted somewhere where there is unlikely that i get shut down?

Bump. I still need some answers to my last posts.

You can use any off-shore hosting, these hosting are mostly used by movies, porn etc.

Thank you guys. Gonna try one of those hostings soon
