Where to grow beyond ebay?

So I've done well on ebay over the past year and change. I'm now back to top rated
status and sales have increased again.

I was thinking of trying to expand and start selling on other sites, too. I don't know which
other sites I can sell on. Could you recommend any that might be a decent place to expand
and start selling?

I basically want to take my same model that I've used on ebay and apply it to another site
or two.

etsy? ebid? maybe amazon or is it possible to just start selling on alibaba or sites like that?
I think shopify is just making your own merchant website to sell?

Thanks. I've heard about shopify and wordpress, but truthfully, I really don't know anything about them as far as how to use it.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but my thinking was that after building enough sales/client list from my ebay sales, I could use the emails and contact all my buyers to redirect them to my self-made merchant site like shopify/wordpress? Is that how it works?

This way I could sell to return customers without having to pay the hefty ebay fees. I checked out Bonanza but the reviews are very bad and sounds like you won't be able to make any sales there.

I'm basically a dropshipper. All I do is upload listings of things I can sell at a slightly higher price than the actual merchant site where I purchase it from and have them ship it out to my ebay buyers. Most of my profit comes from the shipping. It was just a small thing I decided to try about a year ago, and I had to learn some hard lessons along the way, but it's been a steady climb since. I had a setback a few months ago when my top rated seller status was gone because I had a total of 4 defects out of nearly 1,000 transactions and that made me "below standard". I won't get into how ridiculous ebay's standards are that being 996 out of 1,000 is considered below standard. McJesus, 99.6 success rate and they still punish you. But now I've worked my way back to top rated status and things are looking stable, so I'm itching to try and sell on other sites to expand my audience.

I have two other jobs/incomes so this ebay venture was just a side gig and the extra pocket money I make from this is quite nice and satisfying! It's all about multiple income flow/stream. I'm by no means wealthy or high-end/top-end level stuff. I'm just your small-time seller who has found a nice little niche using the dropshipping method. I find that depending upon where you dropship from (which merchants), they all operate slightly differently and you have to figure out the little kinks of the system and be creative to make it work even better. I don't use any programs or software because I'm really uneducated in that. I wish I knew though how to use those things...I'm sure it'd make my life a lot easier. I pretty much do everything by hand and manually, so, yes, I am a small-timer.

Shopify it is easy to learn. very friendly GUI and anyone can make a website from scratch + a lot of information on youtube. I made my website in 2hours.
However, you need to put some $ to promote your website so prepare yourself to failed & learn until you find the formula.
if you had a niche on ebay, you can use your emails to create a lookalike audience on facebook. save a lot of time and $.
