Where to go from here?

Hi guys, Just signed up on here though i have been lingering for a while - but anyway - I have a Tumblr blog which i have been advertising Amazon affiliate links through, so far i have had about 2000 clicks with 4 purchases, so not much. I do only have 3000 followers (in the last 3 1/2 weeks ive grown by over 350%) but even with 3000 i expected to be making more. Where do you think i should go from here? I was keen to try Adsense and i tried signing up however you cannot do that with just a tumblr account, and im not entirely convinced PPC is the right way to go in the first place.

there are plenty of ways to go beside tumblr
like youtube, ppc, email marketing and soso on

You can't expect much for tumbler blog. If you want to start with adsense i advice you to buy a domain and hosting and start blogging. If you can't afford a free blogspot account will do best.

Before entering to a method spend some time reading about it. If you search for adsense you will end up with lot of methods and guides. Also have a look at download section.
And stick with one method till you reach your goal. Don't get distracted by reading all the methods mentioned. This is the mistake all do while joining here.
