So...I've been doing digital marketing now for a bit, but I'm at a crossroads and not sure what to do next, thought I would ask for some help. A brief timeline:
So anyways my question is...
Any ideas what's a good thing to be doing in 2025 that doesn't suck balls, to make some money?
I think most people just want something they can do on the side, that is repeatable somewhat scalable, that doesn't instantly break the moment you leave it alone for 2 minutes.
Even if they don't like it.
If you actually like marketing, you'll do great. But I don't think 99% of people "like" to be doing this stuff.
I don't, and I'm a 6 figure affiliate (whatever that's worth in todays day and age).
Does it REALLY have to come down, to you whoring on Youtube, showing your face, building a brand and a community around something that you might be interested in now, but not in the future?
Would love to hear your thoughts
- I started in 2018-2019 selling shitty products on facebook organic.
- Dove into SEO in 2020 with my own site doing SAAS product reviews and other reviews. Made 100k in sales for a company and then lost 50% traffic in December 2020 with an update (and another 50% of that, later on). Basically lost all my income.
- Started doing mass page affiliate SEO in 2020. Did that for 2 years. Had a little system going. Was actually pretty hard NOT to make money (after 2 years of tweaking the strategy), but I wasn't finding a way to scale. Started seeing diminishing returns in 2023 and abandoned it completely. Lost all my income again. Trying to see if it still has a heartbeat, but I'd say with AI, it's pretty much done for.
- Late 2023 got into search PPC for branded keywords, was spending 1k to make 5k. Life was good. Got account blocked. Lost all my income for the third time.
- Then did 8 months of native ads in 2024. Spent 8k, made 6k. Fucking brutal. Nothing makes any sense with native. (I tried and gave up, 13 times).
- Late 2024 did some facebook ads direct to product, way too expensive even after finding the buying audience.
- Did some kindle publishing, did POD back in the day and dropshipping in 2018 too.
So anyways my question is...
