Where to get cheap .com domains?

Now I see .me domains are offered at $3-5 first year at the moment. Ionos there you can buy it for €1,50 monthly billing, after one year it cost 2,00€ monthly billing (ionos germany) .
On Gofuckdaddy .me domain, it costs around $15 fraudy insane........but hey it's gofuckdaddy. On namecheap the price is at $4,50.
I think it's a nice idea to have a little me website on wordpress com or Blogger or selfhost wp, at a few articles and the Home page is a landingpage who link to all your other multiple domains.

factor in whois privacy -- it's not free everywhere.
my choice is always namesilo. once you get knee deep in owning multiple domains, it's bothersome to be involved in multiple registrars (just to save a dollar a year). then factor in the renewal will likely be more than first-year registration on those cheapo registrars. one thing to remember is prices now are not what they may be next year. if you are buying domains that you have no intention of renewing -- then go nuts.
stay far away from godaddy and namecheap, probably the 2 words vendors in the game.

ya it may look cheap for the first year but then they'll jack the price up and you'll have the hassle of moving domain registrars
