Where to find work as a cheap content writer besides iWriter?

    Hey guys,

I'm in a crappy situation right now. A couple of weeks ago I have found iWriter and it helped me to get some quick cash for food. It didn't take me too long to get to the Elite status on that platform, but I was extremely disappointed as soon as I got there to only see that once you get upgraded you can't actually see most of the gigs you saw before because they are special requests. Not a nice practice by iWriter I would say, but that's another topic.

So the problem is that work is scarce on iWriter. Literally zero gigs I could take right now. I've been looking for other opportunities, but can't really find any other content mills that would let non-native speakers write for them. Created a gig on Fiverr last week to no avail. Messaged a couple of requesters looking for writers in Hire a Freelancer section here on BHW but didn't get any replies as of yet either.

Do you guys know any other forums or opportunities where I could find some work without investment as I can't afford that right now? I would love to find a site like iWriter but for non-native speakers so if anyone could give me a heads up or some secret contacts I would really appreciate that. ;-)

Then you know the drill, from past threads on BHW. Go get a faux US profile, stealth US Paypal, even a US maildrop if you need to send/receive snail mail from some programs. Or keep your earnings per writing situation under $500-600/yr per account so you don't have to submit a tax form.

I have heard great things about textbroker, but they only accept native English writers.

Thanks! I will definitely check out some of these.

You can try upwork, elance, fiverr and even in some of the forums. The classified sections is good.
