Where is the cheapest and best place to buy a domain name from?
I used Hostgator but it is a lot of hassle first you have to request domain then wait for them to send payment link.

    Is Godaddy an good?
If not where else is secure.

I have many domains at Domain.com and had better experience with them than godaddy. And you can basically get domains for $3.99 at the link below:
    Code:
    http://www.domain.com/landing/

I always use godaddy for domains. There is always a good promo code laying around for godaddy domains somewhere!

When choosing a domain name registrar, don't just look at the price you register the domain name for. Almost all companies will cut your head on renewal. The best company I have found is internetbs.net. They have competent support. They are offshore, accept all kinds of payments and their prices + renewals are very very cheap!

Everyone did, because of ICANN. The difference is that some companies just cut their margins instead of raising the prices, but because of the low prices at internetbs, they had to raise them. They are still cheaper (especially when considering renewals) than the rest.

Thanks for the advice I decide to buy from internet.bs in the end got a domain and paid £12.08 for 2 years with free private whois.
I have always bought from 123 before but they were quite expensive.
So your tips have been great.
    Thanks.

internet.bs raised their prices more than they could because of ICANN, mostly about 2 usd while ICANN raised only 0.7.....
they just wanna rip us off.....they started cheap but slowly they raise prices as all corporate greedy companies
u can find better prices elsewhere

why would you support godaddy if they don't support your freedom on the internet?

I use namecheap. About 10$ per domain with free private whois gaurd for a year.

Have used GoDaddy and Hostgator as well. Godaddy supported SOPA so I wont use them anymore, but they were decent when i used them. Hostgator had great support, but the price was about 15$ per domain.

Namecheap is probably the cheapest "Name Brand" registrar.

GoDaddy for cheap domains w/ coupons, Namecheap for good ones ^^, especially with the stupid SOPA support from GoDaddy.
