If you buy rom godaddy.com or name.com they would charge high from the next year. But if you really wanna enjoy cheap domain even for renewal go for:

If you are buying a domain for a place where they have 1 usd promos make sure to check their renewal prices an also how easy to transfer the domain to another registrar. For example 1&1 drives you nuts before letting you transfer the domain. Godaddy used to have good promos but not anymore. Their renewal prices are way too high. NameCheap is a good place since their renewal prices are decent. But you won't get registration promos often. If you only need one domains then get it from NameSilo. Their .com renewal prices are the lowest right now. Try using promo CheapDo99 to get first domain for 1 usd.

I prefer GoDaddy, but Namecheap is better for startups with low budget.

I always use Namecheap to buy .com domains at cheap price. You can use coupon to reduce price.

Their renewal prices are too expensive even with their Discount Club option. I used to have 100+ domains there. Now moving those to NameSilo.

1&1 offers $1 for new customers, for the first year. You can use the same PayPal e-mail, but different registration e-mail ( just note all the domains details in a text document ). Cheers
