Where to begin

Hi Guys,

Im looking to get into IM and am a touch lost. What are the main ways of bringing in an income in the world of internet marketing? Would it be affiliate marketing? Whereby, i promote someones product and get a commission? I understand there's also dropshipping. I feel dropshipping is a little time consuming when it comes to customer queries and inquiries. The idea is to have a model where revenue is being generated automatically whilst I concentrate on promoting the product. I do understand it will require determination and hard work, this is something that im ready to do, just dont know where to start. Are there any other models which can be implemented, im not looking for methods, just the ingredients to get me on the right track.

The easiest way of starting out and testing your skills is probably with affiliate marketing of some kind. You will then not have to worry as much about the delivery side as you would with dropshipping. As soon as the person you refer to to the Clickbank seller places an order, your work is done!

I suggest you start by choosing a relatively low-competition niche (do some searching on Clickbank to see what is crowded and what isn't) while you improve your marketing and promotion skills. Then set up an affiliate site to promote your chosen product, and rank it.

It will probably take a few experiments to get the hang of what works for you, but these shouldn't be too costly. You can get most stuff done really cheap.
