Theres a LOT of ways to get traffic to a CPA
as long the Aff Network does not have a restiction on where the traffic is coming from you can create different approaches and test different methods, which you can find here on BHW btw, great forum
About traffic sources if your talking about paid traffic sources i would recommend you to check out PPV and Media Buying,
dont go from traffic source to traffic source, first start with one and master it, then sclae up to another traffic source
scale and reapeat

I dont want to dip into PPV/media buying YET...
Will focus more on PPC...but where and how? Is there a good thread here some where detailing different approaches/methods/places to advertise cpa offers?
