HMMM - if its so competitive why are hosting companies popping up like roses in spring time - have a look at how amny there are - and all you really are doing is renting out a very big computer - Good Idea - I am going to start a hosting company

What I was trying to state was that if you have nothing much to offer, then you are just that, "nothing much".. People and myself use hostgator cause I/they have had good success with them such as reliability. Their more of a household brand than anything with good services/upkeep in my mind.. Clearly not a haven as the op thinks they are..
Good protection and upkeep goes a long way. Sure the market is competitive and I didn't say it was pointless. Have fun hosting dedicated at targetting spammers from you're very "big computer"..

Cool,
Just understand how to deal with juristic issues and security societies, may be like FBI (Scammers activities, terrorist problems... etc), things become harder last months with hosting companies or business companies ...
