@itz_styx nothing personal with you but seems like you are "protecting" the guy so much. It's so unreal for the guy to be missing or kidnaped. It's 2023 damn we don't live in Sinaloa. I live in a shit 3rd world country and even in my place we don't hear such stories.
he is a friend of mine and i just hate the speculations as nobody knows yet whats going on. i dont say any of the theories are wrong, i just don't know and nobody else does, so its unfair to make claims he made 500k that he scammed people from here and ran off. oh and FYI my wife is from colombia there are plenty of stories of people getting kidnapped and even killed just for a phone. even happened next to her old appartment, guy got shot as he didnt want to give up his iphone. so whatever "Its 2023" means to you, in some countries you better not mess with the wrong people. i'm in germany and even here people get shot or stabbed if they mess with the wrong guys.
BUT again lets stop the speculations, some say he scammed, others say he might have been kidnapped or killed blah blah its all pure random speculation and there is no point in filling another 10 pages with wild theories thats all i keep saying. i dont "protect" him, i just give him the benefit of the doubt as long as nobody knows whats up. its too early to tell.

How did the buyers pay him? Had satre a real bankaccount or something like this as a business? Wouldn’t a scam be really hard with this setup?

Someone mentioned a lot of his payments were taken via USDT, seems legit heh

It's a sad situation. The truth of the matter is that we likely may never know what happened. If he has not reached out to BHW staff by now, he ain't coming back. The only word for this is exit. It's painful because it just gave a potential bad name to just about every JrVIP.

i also wouldnt take paypal for 10k just so someone can do a chargeback later and scam me... "friendly fraud" is very common here

it is ..but the thing is it might not be an exit scam, but something worse. who knows... as you said, we might never find out.
i don't think it affects all JrVIPs as just look at the dispute section, there are plenty of VIPs. everyone is responsible for his own reputation.

Might be a long shot since I'm sure he probably moved the money out already but if you paid via crypto you could check the wallet address to see if there's been any recent activity. If you really know what you're doing you might be able to follow where he transferred them as well unless he did a coin swap.

I don't have much to say and everything has already been said. But based on the look of things, seems to me like an exit scam.
Anyway, I hope this guy is safe wherever he is.

Sure, but there are many other less “sketchy” looking options than only crypto if you’re a legit business man involved with investment companies and other agencies as he is supposed to be. The client has zero protection with only crypto, I’d dare say clients aren’t going to charge back on what he was selling if it was delivered as it was supposed to be. Now we are seeing people that probably would be close to charging back pop up in this thread with a moderator saying there is a pending Dispute Resolution thread on him too, like I said if they’ve paid by crypto (I don’t know if they all have) then they’re hammered now, no way of getting that back.

Wire transfers for example where you’d get at least some type of legit details on where and who you were sending the money to, or better still for a service like his where the client is waiting X amount of months to see results/get the finished product working as described (6 months?), I would have given the client an e-scrow option of some sorts, something along the lines of 50% held and 50% paid upfront, again with a proper e-scrow company you’d generally see exactly who you’re dealing with too. The held 50% released when the finished/working product is delivered, I think 6 months was his time frame.

I’ve nothing against crypto, but I would imagine we can both agree that it’s a scammers payment option of choice, leaving the buyer with zero options or protection.

crypto is not sketchy. if you pay someone cash its the same thing for example, if he wont refund you he wont. of course both is a scammers option of choice, but they can also use fake paypal accounts etc etc
a wire transfer is not more secure either as if you issue it, you cant just get it back easily + could also be a fake bank account with fake details. even escrow is not 100% secure.
if someone wants to scam, he got many options. anyways im getting bored of this discussion to be honest. i just want to know if he is alright and all these theories dont help anyone...

If I’m paying someone cash then it’ll be offline, so I’m likely to know who they are, what they look like and I’m generally able to find them easily to deal with the situation myself or report them to someone that can. I’m talking about online, didn’t think I’d need to point that out though.

PayPal will cover the refund if it’s to a verified account (like he should have been if he’s legit) and they rule in the buyers favour. A wire, well banks tend to do their homework on legit customers, it’s very hard to get a bank account with fake documents these days and why would anyone “legit” do so anyway, with a wire clients have many options to get their money back and report the seller for fraudulent activities if they are going on. An e-scrow I’ve used many times, the client has to be happy and release the money and vice versa on the seller releasing the product, so at least the second 50% I mentioned would be protected if the seller vanished and we’d have found out by now too as reports from buyers would have come in before this thread as they would have realised sooner.

My point stands really, the only option of all these that leaves the client zero power if things go south (as some are reporting now) is crypto, hence the preferred payment method of choice if someone is doing something sketchy or down right criminal is crypto.

It's called assumptions and they exist since he have clients who have been left without any answers and services on a expensive paid in advance service.

It's a completely normal behavior, I dont leave my clients without answers or contacting in any form, planning safety measures for many situations that I antecipate which includes cyber attacks, fraud attempts and many other situations, it's called being a professional.

Also "Call your CSI friends" it's a completely unnecessary comment and let's leave it that way.

paypal will not always rule in favor of the buyer. getting a fake bank account is also not hard, you can buy verified bank accounts. escrow is also not 100% secure just google if you dont believe me. so you hate crypto and its a scammers thing for you, alright thats your opinion. doesn't help this thread at all, so whatever lets move on...

Calm down a second, I love crypto and as I said in my first reply “I have nothing against crypto” I use it daily and I accept it myself if the client asks.

My point is it’s the least secure payment method for clients, and I’m sure 99% of the people here would agree with me - it’s the most preferred method of payment for scammers, that was my point and I believe it’s a very simple one really.

Sure they could do all that fake document stuff as you say for banks or whatever, but that’s more work. Just insist on crypto and well that’s job done, hence why it’s the preferred method of choice for illicit activities online. That doesn’t mean I have anything against crypto, I’m merely pointing out the obvious that most people online, especially in our line of work would be aware of.

if you dont know what happened then dont make claims on what likely happened, or what you "think" is the most likely cause. it does not help and is also not professional.
asking questions is ok, but making up wild theories is not which you as self proclaimed lawyer should know. ask your CSI friends, they will tell you that until there is evidence nobody is guilty.

ok so we all know scammers and drug dealers use crypto..so? doesn't mean everyone using crypto is a scammer and its also not instantly a red flag when someone only accepts crypto. can be many reasons.

Did I say everyone that uses crypto is scammers? Please read my replies properly so we can avoid this back and forth, I told you I use crypto myself.

Once again though for the final time and I’ll highlight it for you, my point is simple and is relevant to this thread when people are worried about an exit scam, crypto is the most preferred payment method of choice for online scams or illicit activities.

Actually it would raise a red flag for me if someone that claims to have legitimate companies and wants a large amount of money from me then insists on only crypto, but that’s just me.

This makes me sad to read. He was actually a big inspiration for my projects.

I'm not making any claims, it's all purely speculation based on logical scenarios.

Not professional of what? I'm not working here LMAO and not working as a lawyer either gtfo with all that bullshit. I make all the theories I want, dont want to read block me.

I dont need any "CSI friends" to logically understand what are the most possible scenarios.

You're there calling him a friend and defending the guy and don't even know the guy irl, maybe you need to rework your definition of friend.

Anyway I'm not wasting my time answering your dumb answers anymore, you can answer whatever you want I'll be not responding, you're not logical you're being sentimental which is bad for business.

Have a nice day.

well but you put out stupid theories in a discussion and then complain that someone doesnt share your opinion.. i could also say, if you don't like me replying to your bullshit, then don't post it in the first place.
so you can post all the nonsense you want, but nobody is allowed to reply lol thats not how a discussion works.
also in your opinion you cant have online friends too aside of in real life? well ok, bet lots of people here would disagree, but maybe you just don't have many friends IRL or online which would explain the way you act here as if you know it all. so yes please dont reply to me anymore as its a waste of time to argue with some random pseudo lawyer. let CSI handle it ;)

that being said, like i predicted this is all tunring into a shit show. there is nothing productive in this thread other than accusations and arguing.
i hope one of the mods could just close this thread, it leads nowhere...

As a friend of him, do you really think that he got kidnapped, accounts overtaken and then killed?
