Should I buy a domain from GoDaddy, Domain.com or somewhere else? I've only had experience with the first in the past.

Godaddy is probably the cheapest. They have promos, where you can buy a .com for a dollar.

internetbs.net

I think GoDaddy.com is your best bet. Here is their promo code "CJCSIGLER" for just $0.99/year. Though, upon renewal, the fee will change except you use different master card when checking out.

Best of luck!

Do NOT use internetBS, nothing but issues with them. Namesilo would be a good one since you can get the privacy free. :)

Alpnames or porkbun, last one has really bad interface though.

Heard of Namesilo here, so I tried it just now.
Since I'm setting up my Shopify Dropship account, I thought of trying out their service.
Paid $6.99 via PayPal for a dot US domain. Not bad.

That was with a $1 coupon I found online. Hehe.:D

Using GoDaddy for many years. I often buy domains and it is always from GoDaddy.

  • Godaddy will give in cheap for the first year but same later on.
  • Buy from namesilo and you will get domain privacy/privacy protection for free.

I buy from the cheapest place I can find. I don't see how buying from namecheap is any different than buying from directnic etc. The big companies do an effort to tarnish smaller companies by paying for negative reviews. That is why a lot of times if you google a small registrar, you will see negative reviews and bad ratings. I think that any registrar that has been around for more than 3-4 years will work as good as namecheap and with better prices.
