Where should a noob start?

Hello all.

I'm looking for a way to get started with a niche site or some other "passive" way of making money online.
Preferable white hat, but as there are so many "experts" out there, where would you start?
Is nichesites viable today? and what is a nichesite?

Start a research spreadsheet, and add niches and sites to it, and organize it nicely.
Check the traffic of these sites, and see which ones you are interested in, and build a site around the same themes/products.

you research in your life. search the What do you like to do? then automatic you select your niche

Youtube is great.
Any tips on how? Just posting a random video would not get me far, or am I wrong?

I have many interesting niches in my head, but what us good when you say check traffic? How do I now what is good and what is not worth my time?

I signed up a long time ago looking for some course or software or something... I never made anything of it.
Now I hope I have killed the procrastination monster and start do something. Thanks for the link. I realize that this site have a lot of resources.... Will read.

what are the things that you are interested of or have a lot of knowledge with? Start building that site and try broken link building.

Thanks. Will give that a shot. Any good resources on broken link building? I guess the first thing is how to find them.
