That's what I'm saying. So many people live in terrible places. Pretty happy where I am. Summers are hot, winters are cold, lots to do, clear air. I'm always looking at different, but the only place I'd consider taking a long term vacation (3-5 months) to is San Diego, San Fransisco or Lake Tahoe.

Honest, I've actually dreamed of this room long time before we purchased this house about 17 years ago. When the first time I saw this room (my bed- and study-room), I was astonished to remember seeing it many years back.

I've been fortunate enough to have lived in two of my dream locations so far. One was a beachfront apartment in Melbourne, Australia and the other was a 37th floor penthouse apartment at the top of Mid-levels, Hong Hong (with roof terrace and the most amazing views).

My next dream location is a bit more of a long-term goal and a lot more remote, but involves an island off the coast of Honduras, a purpose built house and a dive boat.

Small islands over there can be surprisingly affordable before anyone starts thinking I am either a liar or a fantasist (less than the price of a decent flat in London).
