I'd recommend you the buy a service instead of buying the whole xrumer. A lot of infrastructure fees, the product fees and the running fees is saved.

I don't know, I've never used xRumer or Scrapebox but it sounds like it would save me some time. With big G watching my every move, I don't want to get de-indexed. My site seems to be pretty trusted by Google (for about a year now).

I need to review it first. I heard they offer a trial or demo. I've heard what OTHER people have used it for but not evaluated it for myself.

I do know what I need from a tool, so I'm not just noobie going into this expecting it to be a miracle worker for me.

If you just need high PR profiles. Sick or Scrape board will work just fine, easy learning curve.
If you want to run profiles 24 / 7 go with x.
