Where is .htaccess file ?

Hello,

Where is .htaccess file ?

I go into the domain directory and there is only cgi-bin folder, there is no .htaccess file.

Anyone know ?

Its a hidden file on some server tell your ftp software to show it

No it's not hidden, it's in the root directory of your website, it has no file name just a .htaccess extension.

It may be possible that your website doesn't have one & you'll have to create it yourself.

An .htaccess file can be in any directory on your site, though the one in the root folder is usually what people are referring to. It is technically a hidden file, but usually by default when you login to your hosting FTP you will be able to see it anyway. As was said above if it is not there you can simply create it. What are you installing?

click your file manager and open for your domain directory and tick mark in option show hidden files..sure you will see the .htaccess file..

Also after login you cpannel you can directly search by .htaccess file..
