Where is an email I send coming from??

Hey,
A quick question I'm sure someone here can help with.
I am in Florida, I have a website hosted in Asia.
I have my email addresses set up through the site etc.

Question, I send someone an email here in the US, if they were to check the send details, are they getting that email from me here or is it coming from Asia? (meaning, can they see that it is coming from my IP or my computer or does it show it coming from Asia because it is going through those servers) ?

The way I understand it, they'll see the location of the IP of whatever SMTP server you're using. So Asia.

It depends on how you send the email. If you send it from your desktop using Thunderbird/Outlook, they'll still be able to traceback to your IP address. If you send it via a mailing script hosted on the asia's server or through a mailing plugin on wordpress site hosted in asia, the originating IP will show the asia's server IP.

I guess the easiest way was to find out myself. I sent an email to a friend a few states away.
He sent me back the headers and that whole bunch of stuff in the properties of the email and sure enough, MY IP was shown.

How can I change this to where MY IP doesn't show and only that of the Asia host does?
(or basically anything but mine)
