    Botmasters Lab.
however you must have huge budget to run xrumer, you need dedicated box and elite proxies .

I have a few friends who run xrumer from home and it works just fine. no box, no elite proxy, straight home IP.

he just doesn't abuse it, but xrumer will be heavy on CPU, just make sure you have a powerful computer.

    good luck

Judging by your post count (which isn't a perfect measuring stick) I'm guessing that you're fairly new to Internet marketing. I'm not knocking you.

Having said that might I suggest that perhaps Xrumer, with it's very steep learning curve, may not be the software you want to start with and dropping $500+ on an experiment is a little dangerous.

I would suggest that you try a different piece of software that has often been described as "Xrumer Lite." The software I'm talking about is called ScrapeBox and if you use the search button at the top of the page you'll quickly locate a very long thread where you can purchase the software for under $60.

I honestly believe that you'll get far more use out of ScrapeBox then you will out of Xrumer.

FYI, Xrumer is going to run you over $500, you need dedicated, preferably off-shore, hosting which runs at a minimum of $30 per month and in addition to this, Xrumer now charges a monthly fee of $10 (unless I'm mistaken) per month without which you won't receive the very crucial updates.

It's your money and your choice but my best advice to you is to start out with ScrapeBox and after you learn more about marketing and more about what Xrumer does you'll be in a much better position to decide if you trully want/need Xrumer.

It's always good to be informed before launching into a fairly sizable investment.

    Cheers.

    Agree with @ No1Here

Xrumer's Learning curve is pretty high, You can't run xrumer from home. because Xrumer is bandwidth hog . You need offshore hosting if you are in UK, USA else you are mostly likely to abuse mail from your ISP.

    @ No1Here xrumer prices gone up . now 590 USD and p/m 10 USD.

@ lifco . you shouldn't call op's post is stupid.

he wanted to know about xrumer thats why he posted this thread .

I would suggest OP to do some research before spending grands on xumers.

Scrapbox is good value for money.

durjoy, thanks for correcting me. I hadn't realized that the price for Xrumer had gone up to almost $600.

Like I said in my previous post, I would rather suggest that you get ScrapeBox and the "soon to be released" ScrapeBoard which can be run directly from your computer. Well, I know for sure that ScrapeBox can be run from your comp and I'm FAIRLY sure that the same will be true for ScrapeBoard.

Between those two programs you'll have just as much functionality for promoting your sites as you would with Xrumer except you'll spend a whole lot less money.

Xrumer is a fantastic piece of software that is very powerful. However, unless you're planning to sell Xrumer blasts to other Black Hatters or Webmasters it would be complete overkill. Just purchase a $10 Xrumer blast from any number of folks here on BHW and save yourself all the headache.

The only other reason, that I can think of, for purchasing Xrumer is if you're either working a 24/7 "boiler-room" type of Spam the Internet into submission type of operation or your company is quite sizable and you need Xrumer to drive traffic to new or updated sections of the site or even it's satellite or subsidiary group of websites.

I'm sure others may have other examples of when Xrumer is the appropriate software choice but those are the only two I could think of.

If you're just doing marketing for yourself, and maybe some friends, then the ScrapeBox+ScrapeBoard combination will give you all the muscle you need or are likely to need for the foreseeable future.

Put it this way, Xrumer is the industrial, heavy duty piece of equipment while ScrapeBox/ScrapeBoard are "prosumer" versions of Xrumer that are priced for us mortals to afford.

    Hope this helps.

Do you actually own Xrumer to suggest to someone NOT to buy it?

There are many other reasons other than the ones you suggested where buying the software and not outsourcing is a good choice.

Eg, you dont want to reveal a lucratic niche to the person you outsource xrumer, your IM biz as gorwn to the point where you have say 50 to 100 sites and buying xrumer blasts each month costs more than actually owning the software. Also, you want to learn and master the software to do more than profile blasts and make even more money from it. I think its down to each individual to decide at what point they are ready to buy the software....
