Should I upload it on my hosting or upload it on image hosting platforms like Imgur and then link it to my webpage?

We always upload to our hosting but if you wanna load fast use 3rd party or fast host.

On my hosting. I use this website imageresizer.com/image-compressor to compress images before upload, no plugin.
You can also use an image compression plugin.
I use a fast hosting or Cloudflare CDN for slow hostings.

If you have fast host and enough bandwidth available, you can use it.

I prefer to host most of my stuff on Imgur to be honest. Super fast, unlimited, free.
