I am currently going through the local phone book, I am at 71 numbers, took me 30 minutes so far, I got 1000s of numbers to go. Any advice for buying large lists or finding them. I need businesses. Local or not, however I know local is not saturated at all.

    Any advice?

Have a check and see if the type of business you're after has a trade association website of some kind.

Sometimes there's hundreds or even thousands of them listed there - just copy the whole page into Excel (or Calc if you prefer) - Voila instant list  - complete with phone numbers, emails, contact person, address etc

Yes - like this one for acupuncture:

    acupuncture.***.**/about-us/find-an-acupuncturist

There's over 8000 phone numbers right there just for 'London' (annoyingly they only show 10 at a time but they're not all like that.)

Get creative with your searches eg 'acupuncture federation/council/association/body' etc

    (replace ***.** with . o r g . u k) (without the spaces)

What's the point of the ***.** when you can just use code like this:
    Code:
    http://acupuncture.org.uk/about-us/find-an-acupuncturist
