Where do you build your backlinks?

I'm doing some research for a software/backlink tool we're currently developing and just wanted to list down the different types of platforms where people typically build backlinks on. I apologize if this has been posted before, but I just want to make sure I get everything covered.

So far I have:

1. Blog Comments
2. Guestbooks
-> (Note) We have been getting a lot of positive results with these 2 platforms alone. We usually use Mid to low PR for tier 2 links and even tier 1 links with High PR sites. So far, the ranks on the websites we are blasting just keep on getting higher. + Anchor and Link diversity to remove any footprints.

3. Forums
4. Wiki Sites
5. Article Sites
6. Pligg
7. Phpdug
8. Scuttle sites
9. Image hosting sites
10. pdf hosting sites

Is there anything else I'm missing? Anyone else have any positive or negative experiences with platforms 3-10? By the way, we're not looking for web 2.0 types of sites. We're searching for platforms that we can automate.
