Where Do We Go From Here?

I'm developing a software that is automating postings and other stuffs and I was thinking, what will be the best way to protect myself and my software from experiencing the same issues facing softwares like Tweet Adder and Tweet Attacks, although I would be consulting with my lawyer tomorrow, but I also need the suggestion of people who use these kind of softwares, what are the best ways to avoid being sued?

Please give your suggestion that will help any software developer who is developing these kind of software.

Don't go massively mainstream, try and circulate in more of a private manner- like in forums etc.

The temptation might be to try and sell it to as many people as possible to make $$, but this will draw attention to you. Keep sales more discrete and you may even find out there is a gap in the market you can slowly, and safely carve out for yourself.

try and see the history of the sites that you are doing automated stuff on, are there other tools for them and they don't care..go for it. or somebody tried to make a tool for a site and got sued...better find something else
