Where do i start

Hello, I have been browsing the forums for awhile now and i just seem a bit overwhelmed on where to start as a beginner. There is so much methods but it's a little difficult to figure out which one would be good to start with. I don't want to be spoon fed but i would like to ask what methods you guys used to start up (Just the actual niche or just a step a in the right direction)? thanks in advance

Note: I have a windows vps and 2 domain names with hosting but i haven't really utilized them since i am not 100% sure what do

Maybe you should start with social media followers if you're not really sure what to do.

I started with social media and CPA. Then I moved on to Clickbank and Amazon. My advice to you is to pick one thing and stick to it until you make money. The biggest problem when starting out is that it can be overwhelming and you want to try a ton of different methods. I would suggest learning one very well and if it does not work in a month or so then you can move on to something else.

You can do this or you can just learn SEO which is an entirely different beast in its self.

Judging from OP's post, he/she clearly has that skill set.

I have been looking into CPA and found a couple methods i am willing to try. I do agree it is overwhelming because i do want to try them all but if it is better to start off slow i am with it.

The thing is i do not have much to invest with but i will look into SEO reselling if that was serious advice.

I started with a SUPER tough niche, that site has never made a dime, but I took what I learned from that and built another site in a difficult comp niche, I got it to page 2, then realized I was over my head. I let those sites sit around, uploaded content occasionally and sat back and reassessed my goals and desires.
I then picked a broad keyword niche, like "starting a business". I began building content for super low comp stuff and getting that ranked, then I would build to a slightly less easy keyword, then on and on. I now have an authority site that is used by others to reference and talk about in that niche. I monetize it through Adsense, Amazon, Click bank, and affiliate ads. I am currently starting a new authority site build around the same idea.
I said all that, to say this: fail. Don't go for something because you are worried about failing, or you will already fail.
If the domains you have are good, buy a cheap, brand new name, do your own niche selection, find your own keywords, build your own backlinks for tier 1(don't automate). Fail. Analyze what you did wrong and start over, get another cheap domain. Apply this principle to whatever method you decide to go for it. Fail, try again, stick with it and you will make it.

Start off by reading all the Guides here on BHW you can find. You will find many great guides by members like T0mmy, who has written volumes on getting started on X, Y, and Z subjects. Learn basic keyword planning, and on-site SEO practices first. Then learn about proper anchor text and content strategies fro external seo. After that you can start learning about methods and how to build various types of links.

Find a way to get traffic first either through a website, youtube, social media, or all of them combined. Once you have that traffic monetize it with CPA offers, ads, amazon, etc. As far as niche goes start off with something you're knowledgeable or have an interest in. Say you're into fitness you can do video reviews on fitness products and post it on youtube with an amazon affiliate link to the product.

Don't expect to make anything right away but do expect a lot of failures along the way.

I wouldn't jump into anything instantly based on a recommendation in here. Read the journey threads particularly those from new to Internet marketing or who were at the time. Typically more pages suggests they've had success or at least continued to share their successes. Once you find a few categories that are interesting, you'll have to do the research to ensure that you have the money to invest in it (assume you won't make anything for say 3-6 months so you can't count on reinvesting earnings to cover future expenses), the time to see it through (both in terms of the time you're willing to work with no profit and the amount of time you have available to work each week) and finally, determine if it excites you.

My jump into Internet marketing was SEO back in 2006. I started a blog for fun and implemented SEO with the goal of just getting traffic to this blog I enjoyed creating. It happened to make money and so I duplicated my process. Maybe seeing follower count grow will excite you along with increased interactions on your posts. Seek to gain dominance in a few niches you enjoy. Worst case, you get the process down even if you're not able to monetize the account as easily as expected. Then you can reassess in better niches if needed.

At this point it doesn't really matter!
Everything can be profitable, You should know that a year from now you will most likely end up doing something else.
So just focus on learning the basics and so on...
Take action to make some money, that will help a lot. it will motivate you
