I'm new here and have a few questions..
What would be the best place to start in all of this?
What I mean is, maybe some of you could explain how you got started and it could give some of us a better understanding of how to get started, where to start, and so on.
In my case, I have a fairly extensive background in reverse engineering, not just on computers.. what I am hoping to learn is the parts that I can automate and create tools to do..
For example, I chopped down a process in reverse engineering app's that took up to 3 weeks down to around 15 minutes. I am hoping that I can figure out ways to speed up the process for everyone doing this sort of thing, and make money at the same time. But to do this, I have to get a working knowledge of how its done and be able to do it, well.

Anyways, any information that could get me off to a start would be greatly appreciated..
What I am thinking right now is I have to target a specific kind of audience, and then work on getting a domain that matches keywords surrounding that domain and audience.. at that point I will need to create a site for it, work on some spinning for the content and then start to create blog entries, forum posts, etc to bring up the rankings.. anyone care to shed some light on the process and if I am wrong about any of them?

Thanks

pick a niche, maybe a hobby or something you're interested in. Post 3-5 articles a day to it that you have written. Learn how to research keywords and base your content around those keywords. Post blog comments for 2 hours a day.

So, should I be planning on using lots of spinning to make the articles, or will that matter that much?
Also, would rotating keywords over a every few weeks or months or so be a good idea or not?
I am liking the idea of multi level spinning at this point, but is that really just designed for spamming and backlinks or can it be used as articles?

Big G likes unique content, but if it's your main site, then you want the content to be readable by humans. It's unlikely you would spin any content on your main site as that typically results in questionable grammar and readability.

Spend time writing quality posts and updating the site with regularity. Try to get inbound links from quality sites with related content as well. It's easy to do this manually, you just need to spend time learning the techniques detailed here on BHW. Try to focus on just one keyword for now, until you are more familiar with SEO.

Autumn, if he don't know where to start the search is quite useless if he don't know what to search for, don't you think?

There are some basics (which me didn't convinced yet, to be honest). Like picking micro-niches with less than 5.000 global searches, with high-keyword top level domain and perfect written content. Tried it now and will see if there is something happening (incl. some backlinking).

So where should you start? Depends on what you want and what you want to invest.

If you don't know SEO at all, I would suggesst to search for 'what is SEO', 'what is seo good for' etc. to see what all/most of the people here will talk about.

In short words it's optimization of keywords you want to target and the structure of a website, to increase the google ranking, including external factors. So you can say SEO is 'be beloved by search engines' :)

If you have already some basic knowledge, some people started with offering some services @ fiverr

Some others ordered a domain, went to affiliate-networks targetting their niche, and started.

It is absolutely common to have 'non working projects' in the beginning, as you have to understand everything first. And even after a year I've some stuff that is not working that well, other stuff works quite nice, but even lesser than some pages of some BHW members. I was around 3.5$ a day, but some other BHW members have around 100$ a day.

So, at least, start somewhere and don't just sit around and cruise the forum, if you start, you'll see what will work for you and use BHW as coverage to increase your success :)

See ya

P.S. Is a BHW-member offering something like a 'class' to achieve the same income as them? Was thinking about to search for one and participate, as I guess I'm still missing a lot ;)

Thanks for the input.. so how should I be picking keywords? I checked out the google adwords, I would guess that I should just find the ones with the highest clicks and visitors, assuming that its not REALLY competitive.. I was under the impression that the content on the site should have things that are similar to the keywords so that google picks that up, but I could be wrong.. anyone?

What os? For iPhone, gdb... For win, I like olly but it's not as full featured as I would like.. You?

Go to amazon and find product keywords that high price or seem very popular, then put those product keywords into adwords tool to see how many people are searching and what the competition looks like.

Also if you are good at reverse engineering study top sites for difficult keywords and figure out what they are doing and think of a way to automate it.
