Where do Bitcoins come from?

To get a deeper understanding of bitcoins and where they come from, one should understand more about cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrencies are computer coding that represents and contain some form of monetary value. To create these codes, one requires a source of electricity and high-performance computers. This process is also referred to as mining. In simpler terms, cryptocurrency can also be called digital currency.

As stated above bitcoins are the first crypto coin currency ever created. The inventor is unknown, but various sources credit a person named Satoshi Nakamoto as the creator of the bitcoin. Since Bitcoins are the original currency, all the other currencies created afterward are referred to as Altcoins, with examples including, Peercoin, Feathercoin, and Ethereum. Bitcoins can be traded for different currencies, products, and services.

Bitcoin generator. I've heard it's in the Jr. VIP section on BHW, but didn't had the chance to play with it.
