Where can I get cheap PAYG US sim cards?

Very simple. I'm trying to find the cheapest sim cards that don't have a monthly plan on them that I can use for phone verification. Ideally something that will cost a few $ to setup and then will remain valid for a few months, even if I don't use them. Can anyone recommend something here (they need to be from a US provider with a US number)? Thanks
