Where can I find decent writers?

by "decent" I mean writers that understand the work without you holding their finger, no grammatical/spelling mistakes - something that you can simply copy/paste and start using without changing around things.

I have tried Freelancer.com and I believe I'm wasting both time & money - idiots on there are simply taking up 100 jobs at once and passing them on to a writer that doesn't even know how to write a sentence correctly. (no offence) my english isn't that great.

Some help, advice is needed. I'm looking to spend around $3-4 per 300 words but I just need the thing to flow rather than it being so obvious that its written by an indian or bengali.

Check out im forums, not freelancing sites. Be ready to pay at least $3/100 words if you want quality.

Odesk has better writers than Freelancer, I have found. Your rate is a bit low for decent writers. Like someone said before $3 per 100 is a good rate, I have found excellent writers for this rate. You can find decent writers for $2 per 100. Once you start going below $3 per 100 you tend to find your proof reading becomes a rewrite.

I always stress that I want a tailored answer to my job posting and not a cut and paste, you can take this further by placing a line like this in your listing -

'Please write the word "Orange" at the start of your application so I know you have read this listing properly'

That way you delete anyone that doesn't adhere to your request, you may miss out on 1 decent writer by you will save your time with the other 99 you bin.

I like to have a couple of interactions with the individual to see if they let their spelling and grammar slip during those.

Yes it is removed. You can always order here on BHW rather than on oDesk/Freelancer. Ask the sellers if they do your niche.
 
I am getting 800 words article at $2. My writer licensed english teacher at Philippine. She write for SEO agency before. She is new in my niche but she writing well. If you need help ping me. I'll give her contact but she using oDesk. So you have to pay her through oDesk.

Look through the marketplace. If you want magazine quality work, you will have to pay a bit more than the usual $1 per 100 words.
 
Please refer me a good content writer if you have found one too
