(not a libra scale) you receive 3 pots of pills. In each pot there are 100 pills each pill weighs 10 grams 1 pot has poisened pills, these pills weigh 9 grams a pill you can only weigh 1 time... How do you find the poisened pills ?

the poisened pills are an exception. 1 pot has poisened pills. they weigh 9 grams each regular pills weigh 10 grams poisened pills and regular pills look exactly the same.

You take 10 pills of the first pot, 6 from the second, and 1 from the last, and you weight the 17 pills at the same time: -If the weight is 160g, then the 10 pills are poisoned. -If the weight is 164g, then the 6 pills are poisoned. -If the weight is 169g, then the 1 pill are poisoned.

So do we not have to determine the poisoned ones after weighing? Like are we allowed to mix? Because else, it seems impossible.

So, where is the riddle? This is so easy that I won't even bother giving the answer....I thought there are just a couple of bad pills Edit: Just saw a guy gave the answer already, what a stupid "riddle". So, that's what you gotta answer to enter Microsoft...good Lord, Bill Gates went crazy

My solution: Weigh 2 pills from the first pot with 1 from the second pot. If: a) sum = 30 => poisoned pills are in the pot 3 b) sum = 29 => poisoned pills are in the pot 2 c) sum = 28 => poisoned pills are in the pot 1
