Random question :noidea:

I need to buy 4 airline tickets. I got until March to buy them. From your experience, when would be the best time to book that flight?

Thanks

:o

I have booked a ton of flights in my life and the best advice I can give you is to search the net diligently and book at least 6-8 weeks out. You may want to watch the fares in the coming weeks and see what the trend is like before pulling the trigger. It is not always best to buy as early as possible, sometimes the fares will trend downward depending on demand. Hope this helps.

well anytime am going to uk i try booking in the night online to be honest i dont have any reason for that just following the lane my friends used in booking

Thanks for the replies.

But is there an specific month in where the tickets are less expensive or no?

Just checking.

Early is quite better.
But remember last minute tickets are sometimes cheaper (but maybe not in your wish country)

I run a few travel sites and our prices are always cheapest about 4-5 weeks out from the date of departure.

PM me if you have any specific questions.

i worked in the tourism industry as a travel agent, and i'm still kinda working in it, i booked countless flights

this
and the rule is that there's no rule

i'd say 2 months before departure is optimal, the above mentioned 34 days before departure is kinda late methinks

no specific month rather specific season which is depending on the country and also weekend tickets tend to be more expensive

As stated above "No rule". But in general , after 7th January to 15th April And from 15th September to 5th December the fare is remain low ( and again it's a personal experience not a rule).

I keep hearing, and I've had personal success with booking a flight on a Tuesday. I remember hearing that the airlines change fares or something on Wednesdays. Can't say that's iron clad but I'm pretty sure it's true. Also, I try to depart on a Saturday and return mid week.

It's true a friend of mines was a flight attended and her friends husband was a pilot and they said the same thing, actually the exact same thing.
