Yes, but aged accounts that have aged videos hardly get asked for ID verification.

Mine was 2013 a/c had few videos on it which remained uploaded for several years but still got this ID verification
Well, I don't know what happened in your case. It works for me most times when I buy aged accounts that have aged videos. Maybe the number of uploads is significant.

I am not into YouTube, I was trying to do some experiment with it and after placing the links in description it is asking for verification for making it clickable
When this change was madeOr maybe I was living in another world and this change was made a long ago

It does not change according to the country, it is valid for all accounts.
Confirming this step with one of the 3 options is also required for monetization apply.

For monetization I can understand but for making a link clickable in description that is a different thing may be they are checking new ways to stop spam and will be implemented soon for all accounts

anyway, the purpose is to keep spam under some control by making it difficult to use multiple accounts and upload 101 videos per day.

I suggest you do video verification. Because it is confirmed within 24 hours. Other processes can sometimes take short, sometimes months.

Well it also hapened to me and thats way you never must put your eggs in one single basket because you cannot know what will happen .Seems that social media sites dont like people making money and they want to pay for the ads .I hate them

Yea they dont want us as normal people to make some good money and change our lifes even if we build a lot of value on their platform . Unfortunately that how world its build these days ,its all about money
Also on tiktok it bans videos without reason ,no spam ,no copied ,nothing wrong .I think they just have a pleasure to ban videos to put an warning on your account to make you use ads .And its not only me ,i see in a group many people complain about the same thing

1. You need to look straight at the camera, having your face in the center.
2. You then need to follow with your eyes a randomly moving dot.
3. You are asked to move your head left/right/up/down.
Using a static picture gets a rejection.

Why not expect them to ask you for ID on account sign up.
Facebook does that since years. Google was freedom. Soon it'll be "give us your ID or you won't get your sites indexed".
There's still some loopholes left. Make money fast and retire from that shit.
And will deep fakes help us? Maybe.

1 video x 10k accounts is still spam. The question is, when they will ask for ID + ass verification on sign up.
And will deep fakes help us? Maybe.
