You need to diagnose what make it happen, it's important to determine the kind of drop your site has suffered, is it a single keyword drop, entire site, Google's search algorithm updated, If you’re practicing good SEO it’s unlikely you’ll ever face a Google penalty. However, if you make a mistake, and either intentionally or unintentionally implement some Blackhat SEO tactics, and see your SERP rankings take a hit once Google wizens up, you can always fix the issues that caused the penalty and recover your site’s Google search performance.

Every site is different, and there's no single solution that will work for every problem every time. If you in doubt, consult an expert in SEO for assistance.

It's call 'google dance' it will happen if you have built some links recently and the algo evaluates them. If you did not, there may be other issues with your website/post(s) causing this.

Need some details here mate.
- How old is your site?
- Have you been regularly updating it with content?
- Have you been sending backlinks?
- If so, have you been indexing those links?

There could be 2 reasons for this:
1) google is doing an algorithm change, and all sites are fluctuating.
2) you have been building links and going through google dance
reason for google dance: google wants you to freak out and say "oh no, those links were bad, I better remove them"
there is nothing to do here, you just have to wait for all the dust to settle. and keep building links.

Compare your anchor ratio and onpage with your competitors, something may not be right.
