My site is just over two months old, and im just wondering when it would be safe to buy 500 links, assuming they all got indexed quite quickly?

As web designers we often get the request from customers to 'link their site to the search engines'. Presumably this means that they actually want their website to appear on the first page of Google when you search for whatever products they are offering or even just for their website name.
It is quite difficult to explain to customers that it is not just a case of 'linking the site to the search engines' to get to the first page. In fact, what most people do not realize is that it is difficult enough to just get the search engines to KNOW about your site in the first place!

Erm i dunno why you told me that, as i wanted to know when its safe to buy bulk amounts of links? Like obviously getting thousands of links on the first day of website being indexed by Google might not be good but for a 3 year old website it wouldnt matter so much.

When is it ok?

Link building is continuous process and you should start with low then increase it slowly... Keep variations in anchor text and all...

For buying link if you don't have any links or very links then it could create problem... If you already have some then it shouldn't create any problem... Normal procedures just it should not look like any random blast...

Make it aged to 3-6 months. Do on-page optimization and spend time writing rich content first. Concentrate on your site usability also.

And the buying 500 links are not going to be indexed quickly, unless it is in a high PR site and 'whitehatted'. They are going to cost a lot, lol.

Depends what you mean buy buying 500 links. If your talking about an Xrumer or SB blast, then its not really an issue to do it on Day 1.

If you are talking about buying back links on home pages of established websites, I would wait until your site has some level of Authority.
