Man, that's some crazy shit right there.

I even stopped using Google shit since the day it's release, because it collects all the useful information for me.

My reckoning is that the new year will come with less free usage and more paid tiers. The hardware costs to run it must be pretty staggering.

ChatGPT can write decent code.

It's so extremely powerful that I think in another 5 years we're entering into a dangerous point of AI - one that will start with mass layoffs as numerous positions are made redundant (first low level jobs like customer service and support roles).

ChatGPT likely goes paid early next year. They were running it free now for publicity and they have it, now they just need people to pay the premium.

OpenAI makes money selling API access to a host of paid programs. These programs, Jasper being the most well known, have some stiff monthly fees (for me that is).

This begs the question as to how will OpenAI handle paid access. Purchasing tokens and using the current prompt or even the Playground within OpenAI is much less expensive than purchasing a monthly subscription to one of these sevices.

If you can frame the question correctly you can do all the things they advertise. I have seen some inexpensive and free programs that assist in making better prompts. I think it will be a skill we will all eventually learn well.

I agree that the server overhead for ChatGpt is huge and I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop and see them post token pricing.

In the meantime, between ChatGpt and Dall-e as well as some other imaging programs, I am having a ball.

Chatgpt doesnt have API, you have to use openai API, its not the same, but works very well

OpenAi/GPT3 which chatGPT is based on has an API, and rates are very good. Their best language model (Davinci) only costs 2 cents per appx 750 words.

Already have that.

it just weird, chatgpt produce better output and structure, compared to gpt3 you need to prompt tune from scratch.

Don't hurry. Maybe this year I mean 2023 you get the news that Chatgpt is premium. Now they offer free advertising when it gets 90% popular they turn it to premium. the time is coming very soon. Jasper is doing it by free trial, now the charge is jasper like crazy. This is 100% sure chatgpt comes with premium in a few months.

When you ask chat GPT this they say they have no plans of charging for it in the future haha....

You can use api,but as soon as you try to automate(send automated requests via) they will ban your account,is my understanding.
Edit: I am taking about opanai api, which is a layer on top of gpt.

Well i hope that they will stay free for long time but i think soon they will introduce payment or at least 1 month trial and then you need to pay
