When Uploading Videos And Using Links in Descriptions, Is it a bad idea to use the same URL in the description for many accounts? Does youtube link together all the accounts with that link and kill all the accounts?

If so,

how many URLs should you use and rotate? Know a good ratio?

To Keep the costs low of buying domains:

should you use like a ton of tinyurl links or other sites like that to hide the real domain so youtube wont be able to link them together? is it really important?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have never tried to put in the same link for all the videos but the link is a nofollow so YT shouldn't be bothered about it being abused

by nofollow you mean like it doesnt contain anything in the link that would allow youtube to keep track of the links being used?

i really dont like using tinyurl or redirects so not going to use yet but if i notice my accounts are being killed id prob have to factor in this as a problem and find a solution.

but if anyone can also give me their experience that would be great.

I read horror stories about mass amounts of accounts banned (maybe) because the same url linked them all together.

I want my accounts to stick. So I make them all myself, different emails, no catch-alls. No pre-made by others cause I want to be absolutely sure nothing stupid was done while creating the accounts.
I make an effort in making my vids so it would be a waste of time if the account would be banned to fast (if ever).

I'm not taking any risk so when I use links in my descriptions this is the way I do it:
(I do use tinyurl but it works for any url-shortener)

I make a new subdomain on one of my domains and redirect it to the main domain (or any domain you want).

I get a tiny url for this.

I make an account at YT and use the tinyurl for the description.

When I make a new YT account I also make a new subdomain which also redirects to the main domain. This way I get a different tinyurl to use in this new YT account.

This way my accounts can't be linked because of the url in the description (unless of course YT decides to ban all accounts with tinyurls.....LOL)

YT acts in mysterious ways because there are plenty of different accounts on YT with the same url in the description.
But then again....there are the sad stories here from people losing all their YT virtual property....

the thing that bothers me with using sites like tinyurl, isnt there a chance they can deactivate your link if someone complains?

have you noticed your tiny urls being deactivated?

so 1 tinyurl per video is what you should aim for if you want your videos to stick?

btw anyone know about a program that makes tinyurls for you automatically?

This makes it unusable for hardcore spamming like with XRumer.
In the situations where I use it I really deliver something to the visitor. Only the way they get to my sites might be considered spamming.
If you promise i.e. a ringtone in your vid and people end up on a credit card offer they might complain. Most likely to YT.
But that's just my view and experience.

Uptil now I think none of my around 200 tinyurls are deactived. I don't check them but the sites connected to them have a steady traffic flow.

I use 1 tinyurl for 1 account, not 1 vid.
In the vid however there's a watermark with the real url.
Don't forget your vid might show up on other sites embedded with or without your description.

From time to time, I'll find whole blocks of videos disabled and the only thing i can think to connect them is the URL. But I just reupload and put the same url in the description again and it's fine. This makes me think probably some competitor or someone who is offended by my content searches for the URL and then methodically flags all of them. This is a vulnerability, but the URLs in the description work so much better than just a watermark it's ridiculous.

So, I have like 4 or 5 different urls for each offer, so that if 1 block gets taken down the others stick.

I've used the same url on a few accounts and next day all my accounts have been suspended.Use tinyurl.

Using or not using tinyurl (or similar) depends or your target audience.

When your promoting IM stuff it will hurt your reputation.

When promoting ringtones or free gamesconsoles you'll find that your targets are trigger-happy with their left mouse-button.
