When to add adsense on the site?

Is there are difference if I add ads on the site right the way when building it even if the page is not indexed, when I add the ads after the pages have been indexed or when I add ads when my page is ranking?

Personally I don't seem to notice any difference. I usually add the adsense code as soon as I make my sites live.
 
I like to wait until I have a bit of traffic on my sites. (at least 10-15 uniques a day)

This is only for stats reasons. As if your site isn't ranked yet, you will probably get very little traffic, so if you get a click your CTR will likely be very high.

Other than that, it doesn't really make a difference. Some people say your site will rank faster without any ads, but I don't really see the difference, with or without.

I doubt that they rank slower withs ads, considering google get a % each time someone clicks an ad.
 
Google has said that ads above the fold are a factor, but if you're gonna add them anyway it doesn't really matter. I don't make mfa adsense sites anymore, but I always just added them instantly.
 
I suggest that you add it right away, because it takes 24 to 48 hours to have all the ads..
 
Typical myth here has been to add them a week or so after you add content/visitors.

Personally, I put them up as soon as my page content is complete.

As i see it, there would be no issue if you put add as you upload your site it doesn't matter if your site is indexed or not.
 
If you are trying to get traffic using SEO, I would wait until the site is ranked securely where you want it (top 3 or so for about a week) before putting adsense on it. If you are using other methods of traffic it doesnt matter.
 
You should add once you start seeing some traffic. In case, you are already making good adsense income from other websites ($500 or more), you can add initially too.
 
When I used to use adsense, I put ads up as soon as the site is completly ready and live and that the site follows all Googles rules.

Now... I got banned any way
 
If you already have an adsense account you can do it right away. If not - let the site mature a bit.

When I make these types of sites, I usually wait until traffic starts to come in. But that's just my preference.
 
I usually wait for over 1k daily visitors for mine. You don't make much to begin with, so in the beginning, you should just bring in the traffic and provide great content for your users without the obtrusive ads. Then as momentum builds, it's time to get paid :)
 
I like adding ads after my site get ranked on the SERP. A book says, it increases your CPC, so you get higher cpc then!
 
Having adsense ads on your site as soon as possible is proven to help with your rankings, even Matt Cuts himself told, that having adsense on your site helps your rankings..
 
After getting some visitors add your ads in the site. its the best time I think. I personally do this.
