WHEN to 301 redirect

ok, I have got a second domain and built a crappy website. Now I am spamming like crazy using SB.
My question is, do I 301 redirect to my white hat site now, while I am blasting?
or blast, stop. wait a month. then redirect?

Either is fine as the effects will generally be the same, I'd recommend just doing it now instead of later. That way you can really watch the benefit of the inbound links now and as more are found/crawled.

You don't say how old your original domain is - if it is less than a year old then be careful. Just like any other domain, the 301 redirected links can cause you to get sandboxed.

it's more than a year old. its one year and a few months. its a totally white hat site, which is the reason I am not blasting it directly.

Really only needs to be like 3-6 months imo. And Scrapebox blasts I find tend to make links jump around a lot in rankings before they ultimately move up.

I had one sandboxed when it was 6mo old. Not sure if thats the reason or not.. now i've fixed that problem..

You can start blasting and redirecting now.As you said,your domain is 1 year old so it will not make any problem i think.

Does anyone have a good method on creating a 301, tutorial?

Ok, well in that case redirect straight away. As you are probably aware a 301 redirect basically tells Google that the new home of the pages at yoursecondsite.com is yourwhitehatsite.com.

So anything you do to the second site you are basically doing to your white hat site anyway. In the present Google algorithm a site that has gained trust can have loads of spammy links built and won't be put into the sandbox. (Blast a competitors 10 year old domain all you like and you won't effect it negatively) The reason I asked domain age is that blasting a spammy site and redirecting the links to a new whitehat site can easily put a site into the sandbox.

I agree that you should build links and use a 301, as it does feel like you have more control, however in theory to Google they are the same site.
