So, I currently have an instagram account in the fitness niche with 26k followers. I've put a kik contact info in my bio for shoutouts or business inquiries and am getting around 1k likes per pictures. However, it seems like people only expect to get free shoutouts and keep sending me their pictures. When I tell them I charge 10$ per shout-out they always instantly back out. This leads me to my question. When would it be appropriate for me to start selling shoutouts? And how can I get people to buy them from me other than just putting my kik info in my bio? Thanks!

Somewhere around 80k the shout out lifestyle begins to pick up. By 100k you should have a pretty consistent stream of people wanting your promotion

Also don't put kik, instead put a good professional email, and put it something like this..

    Business Inquiries : your email
I've noticed usually people on kik only bother to message you for a free shoutout or to waste your time and "chat"
Real interested people will take the time to email you.

Either wait for people to contact you through email.

Or go and find prospective clients and pitch them.

    $10 per 1000 average likes/photo

If your average like per photo = 500 you charge $5

If it's 25k, you charge $250. Make sense?

Are you sure?? I've definitely heard that shoutouts were MUCH high - like $30-100 at 50-100k followers
(if it's a business showing their product - e.g. a watch brand in a watch niche page)

Those prices are for a permanent post or for a temporay post. If its temporary is for how much time?

Go and pitch 100 prospective clients for $8 then ask more questions.

You should be able to land 10+ clients out of those who will pay you if you've picked a relatively okay niche.

Alright, so considering I have on average 1k likes per picture, I'll start asking for 10$. Thanks a lot.
