When should I make a 301 redirect ?

Hi guys,

I want to launch a new website.

To make it rank quickly, I've decided to buy an expired domain : I'll first create the website on the expired domain and create content on it.

Few weeks after, I'll make a 301 to another domain (a "fresh" one) with an Exact Match on my keyword.

My question is : how long should I let my content on the expired domain before parametering a 301 on the new fresh domain ? 2 weeks ? One month ?

You could make 301 redirect as soon as your dropped domain will be cached at google index. You don't need to wait 2 or 3 weeks. But if your old domain was low quality it dosen't help to take high positions by your new domain.

You can doing redirect 301 now. You do not have to wait a few weeks.
