When should I buy traffic?

I've just got a blog where I promote a certain product. Good on site SEO - unique content, good articles, I will try to update daily. It's day #1, so basically no traffic yet. Would it be a good move to buy traffic (maxvisits) and fiver()/pinterest/pinterest-your-website-to-blast-seo-google-from-many-accounts-and-promote-to-20000-twitter-followers now to rocket-start? Goal is to get on 1st G page with low competitive keyword, ~300k monthly searches.

Sounds like your painting a Google target on yourself. Why don't you let things progress naturally for a bit and learn along the way rather than get the Google ban hammer on your first project.

Hehe. I wanted to speed things up and since it's a blog hosted with blogspot I'd only spend 15$ for all the traffic. One sale would put me to profit. Probably not worth if Google bans me tho... Thanks for advice.

When Adwords says that a term is "low" competition, that doesn't mean that SEO wise, it has low competition

it means that when advertising on google adwords (paid advertising, pay-per-click) that there is low competition for competing in that ad space

SEO wise it will be very hard.

Do not buy taffic now becuse you do not know if your page or the product you are promoting will convert.

Wait until you get traffic from SEO (free traffic) and see if your product will make you some $$.
Or try yahoo answers, forums and google alert method. Free and highly targeted traffic.

If you have the money and want to test it, go for it.
But do not buy UNtargeted traffic (visitors who are not intrested in your product) becuse they will never buy.

And if your budget is around 10$ a day or even 5$.. try adword... with highly buying keywrds that will cost you 0.10 or so a click.

I though that from maxvisits, which advertised here on BHW, it should be targeted traffic. Anyway, yesterday I've read about the G Alerts and it sounds like a good plan to see if I can sell with my page.

I start most of my sites with an adwords campaign, and remove it when my site gets onto the first page of google. Running an adwords campaign is a great way to get immediate traffic and does not hurt your SEO.

I got Adwords 106$ voucher. I've set up a campaign, most KWs were about 1-2$ as Max CPC, but one had 4$, so I had to set Max CPC to 4$. Does it mean that if someone clicks, from any KW, it will always charge me 4$? Or how does it work? Anyone could explain in nutshell please?

Also, the ad is getting disapproved due to Site Policy:We've determined that your site doesn't comply with our site policies. Because of this, any ads promoting this site have been disapproved. So how does one use AdWords campaign with affiliate links? Any way to cloak this? My blog'son blogspot...

I agree. This is an excellent tactic if you have the money. Otherwise, I would prefer to slowly purchase traffic and votes in ways that is not suspicious or does not violate any terms of services (that I know of).

Go through the TOS to understand which sites are allowed for adwords.

Yeah I figured out now - AdWords doesn't support sites that promise unrealistic results... And my product is kinda like that. A bit. Well, too late. I'll save my voucher $ for a better project, when I gain more experience anyway. Thanks tho

It depends how you use these services. There's a few on there which will offer value to your site. I wouldn't go for someone who can promise you TRAFFIC, as like it's already been mentioned it will be useless, untargetted traffic. If you get backlink gigs make sure you get a report and monitor these links, get them indexed etc. I'm not sure how these work now after the recent update but they've benefited a few niche sites of mine in the past. Other than that there's some great people on Fiverr who can offer something else to your website, a video/article review from a guy with a lot of subscribers for $5 sometimes works. If it doesn't, you won't harm your SEO efforts in any way and you've only lost $5.
