What stops someone from reversing the payment once they have the page details?

Nothing stop someone, its why you should not use Paypal aka GAYpal.

Personally, I do use paypal, i just dont approve of their asshole methods. I only use it because its widely accepted. I use a bank wire transfer whenever I can though, so Id go with attempting that first.

I used paypal to sell some pages, and the a$$holes banned my account afterwrads anyway. Screw them, use something else as others have said, dont waste your time with them.

Go with western union Once its yours, its yours. Or an escrow site of some sort.

Using Paypal to sell a fan page is about as safe as barebacking a $5 whore.

(I've been waiting for something to come along so that I can use that line for ages )

Although PayPal is a widely used method of payment because it is so popular, as others have said you should take extreme caution when using it. In fact, I think I have been scammed out of $100 by a member here who is Jr. VIP and a donor. I will probably give it one more day before I post a thread to The Shit List (PayPal was the method of payment used of course). My advice would be to avoid PayPal at all costs when a large sum of money is at stake.
