Hey everyone,
When you start scaling a project, one of the hardest things is figuring out which pages to push harder.

I’ve seen a few approaches like:

  • Targeting the easiest wins (pages already on page 2 or bottom of page 1).
  • Building authority around cornerstone content.
  • Focusing on high-converting money pages even if they’re more competitive.

Personally, I’ve had situations where a few “easy win” tweaks brought faster traffic, but long-term growth came from doubling down on cornerstone pages.

Curious — what’s your process when deciding which pages to prioritize for rankings and link-building? Do you go for quick wins first, or play the long game with authority/money pages?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Great question — when scaling SEO, prioritizing the right pages can save a ton of time and deliver faster ROI.
Personally, I focus first on:
Money pages (that directly bring leads/sales)
High-impression but low-CTR pages (optimize for better titles/meta)
Pages ranking on positions #5–15 — easy wins with a little push
After that, I look at supporting content (blog clusters, internal links).
Curious to know how others prioritize — do you go for traffic potential first or revenue impact?

That's a good question! I normally do both. I start with the fast wins to get things going and show results, but my major focus is on the cornerstone and money pages because they bring in traffic and sales over time. For me, it's about exploiting early wins to pay for and explain the broader push on the pages that are worth a lot.

If the website is new we should target pages that are already on page 2 or bottom of page 1 is the best approach.

If the website has traction but isn't converting anything then we should focus on money pages.

A mixed strategy seems to make the most sense. Get the easy wins while you are working on the more competitive projects. It doesn't need to be an either-or thing, you should be doing both and many of the thing you can do would help you with both.

I usually go for a mix grab the quick wins on page 2 for fast traffic, while steadily building links and content depth around cornerstone/money pages for long-term growth. Keeps momentum going without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Although short term traffic can be generated by quick wins, long term growth is usually stronger when money pages and authority are invested in

I usually start with quick wins to get some early traction, then shift focus to building authority around cornerstone and high-intent pages for sustainable growth. It’s a mix, but momentum from early wins can really help fuel the long game.
