not really a waste, unlinked mentions still help with branded searches and ai answers pulling your name. it just doesnt show up in a backlink checker so people think it did nothing

Mine as opt A becoz gives you backlink plus brand exposure. SEO isn’t just about counting links , relevant brand mentions help build brand awareness and tot.
