When OP ask for REP..

I do not like it either. It becomes unfair for the members who have contributed good posts on this forum and actually got rep through deserving it. Theres this one member that has a signature that asks for rep, and I neg repped last time I saw it.

With that kind of attitude, taking care of beginners would be the least one would care about and BHW would be a much more boring place..

Stop whining about your rep, that's not what this thread is about. Start contributing and I'm sure you will come back strong.
 
Personally when I see people doing this (especially if they are new) I tend to make a mental note and steer clear of them as people who are just looking for an ego gain, or have ulterior motives. Kinda reminds me of other forums and I have wondered why something has not been done about it already...
 
What pisses me off even more than that is when I neg rep someone for something.. then they cry about it, and someone says, "here's some +rep to balance it out!". Wtf?

I look at it a bit different, most of the people coming here are traders (or wanna be traders), its only natural to exchange things.
